”InstaLove” to Open 12th EU Short Film Festival in Ottawa!

Marcin Niemkiewicz’s ”InstaLove” will open the forthcoming 12th edition of the Ottawa EU Short Film Festival to take place between May 2nd-3rd. The twenty three festival short films will be later shown across Canada, including Montreal in late May.

Awarded earlier with the Audience Prize in the Blaue Blume TV Competition 2024, ”InstaLove” by Marcin Niemkiewicz shows today’s love relationship, in which Instagram plays an equal, if not more important, a role as romantic partners.

Ottawa EU Short FF is organized by the Canadian Film Institute in collaboration with Delegation of the EU to Canada and the participating EU Member States.

  • Mikołaj Janik’s “Mom Is Going Back” got two awards at the 23rd Uhvati Film Festival: Grand Prix at the Novi Sad edition, and Second Prize for Documentary Film in Rijeka, Croatia. Organized in the region of Southern Europe (Novi Sad in Serbia, Rijeka in Croatia, and Kotor in Montenegro) in October and November, the festival features fiction and documentary films presenting themes of disability.
