Awarded recently with the Best Extended Short Film Prize in the San Francisco Sci-Fi Short Film & TV Awards competition, and earlier with the Blaue Blume Prize 2025, “love_proxy” by Marcin Niemkiewicz – with use of animation and live-action follows a love story in a world, in which a man, thanks to the brand-new invention of a robot doppelganger, can function in many different places at the same time.

“Attraction” by Aleksandra Szczepaniak focuses on a few, sunny vacation days of the adolescent siblings. The film recently got the Best Cinematography Prize at the Two Riversides FF in Poland, and earlier the Honorary Mention in the NY Cinematography Awards competition 2025.

Diana Szczotka’s short documentary ”Haven” focuses on Nastya and Ira, who, in early 2022, were staying at a temporary accommodation center for refugees from Ukraine in Poland. The haven in Gdynia was a refuge, but also a time for reflection, which prompted them to ponder whether people are the smiths of their fate or are they subject to unpredictable events over which they have no control.
