“love_proxy” gets the Best Fiction Prize in Short Film Competition of the 25th Sopot Film Festival

Marcin Niemkiewicz’s “love_proxy” has been awarded with the Best Fiction Prize in the Short Film Competition of this year’s jubilee 25th Sopot Film Festival that took place between June 30th – July 8th. “love_proxy” was shown among 44 short fiction and animation international productions.

Awarded earlier in the Blaue Blume TV Competition 2025, and presented among others in Miami, Brussels, Lyon, and Oslo – “love_proxy” by Marcin Niemkiewicz – with use of animation and live-action follows a love story in a world, in which a man, thanks to the brand-new invention of a robot doppelganger, can function in many different places at the same time.

  • “Olga” in the Youth Perspective Competition of the Spektrum Film Festival

  • Lulu Pomorova’s “Olga” will take part in the Youth Perspective Competition of documentary films at the forthcoming Spektrum FF to take place in Polish Świdnica and Czechia Trutnov between October 21st – 26th. Spektrum FF will present 49 internationally made films by young directors in three competitive sections for fiction, documentary, and animation.

  • “love_proxy”, “Such a Perfect Day”, and “Haven” in Mumbai

  • Marcin Niemkiewicz’s “love_proxy”, Piotr Pluta’s “Such a Perfect Day”, and Diana Szczotka’s “Haven” will be a part of the short film program of the Waterfront Indie Film Festival, held in the center of Bollywood between October 2nd-6th. Organized by the renown Acting School of the Rangshila Theater Group and the Indian film critics, the festival will present the international independent feature, short, documentary, and experimental films.
