“My Dear Bag” and “Penguin Habits” in Competition of the 54th Huesca International Short Film Festival!
Karolina Fronik’s “My Dear Bag” and Jakub Poterała’s “Penguin Habits” will be presented in the International Competition of the Oscar® and Goya qualifying 54th Huesca IFF to take place between June 5th-13th. The festival will feature short films by Oscar talent, Goya, Platino and Cesar winners alongside new voices from twenty six countries.
Having its International Premiere “My Dear Bag” by Karolina Fronik begins as a pleasant father and daughter getaway, which turns into a confrontation with the painful truth about their relationship. The weekend becomes a struggle between loyalty and the need for freedom.
Presented earlier at the 50th Gdynia Film Festival and the 24th Beijing Student Film Festival, the “Penguin Habits” by Jakub Poterała focuses on a day of departure for a long scientific expedition of Emilia, a mother of Antek, who is supposed to stay behind under his grandfather care in the country. Love and responsibility for the child clashes here with ambitions and professional opportunities.
