”Aphasia” Awarded with the Golden Kapok Prize at the Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival in China!

Jakub Laskowski’s documentary debut “Aphasia” has been awarded with the Golden Kapok Prize for the Best Micro Documentary at the 20th edition of the Guangzhou IDFF. The festival took place at the Guangzhou Shangri-La Hotel between December 4th – 7th.

”Aphasia” is a diploma film of this year’s graduate of the Gdynia Film School, and it features an intimate portrait of Mr. Zdzisław, who talks about his life and how it changed under the influence of the aphasia.

 

The Guangzhou IDFF’s presentation was the film’s world premiere.

  • “Nothing Serious” by Kamil Czudej and “Such a Perfect Day” by Piotr Pluta will be presented in various competitive sections of the forthcoming 18th Amarcort Film Festival in Rimini, Federico Fellini’s birthplace. The festival held between November 25th – 30th, will show “Nothing Serious” in the Student Films category, while “Such a Perfect Day” – in the Titta category dedicated to films on parent-child relationship.
