”Everything for My Friend” and “Tacking” in Competition of the Madrid Indie FF!

“Everything for My Friend” by Lulu Pomorova and “Tacking” by Jakub Laskowski have been selected for competition of the forthcoming Madrid Indie Film Festival 2024. The screenings of the selected competition films will take place in the Madrid’s Artistic Metropol on February 15th.

”Everything for My Friend” and “Tacking” in Competition of the Madrid Indie FF!

Recipient of the Jury Special Mention at the 30th Blue Sea IFF in Finland, the “Tacking” – a diploma film by Jakub Laskowski – is a surrealist account of a psychological process of coming to terms with the death of a father.

Presented earlier in Portugal, Mexico, Finland and India, the ”Everything for My Friend” – a diploma film by Lulu Pomorova – follows a friendship of two women at a crucial point of transition between artistic school and professional life. The two friends face a choice whether to support or compete against each other.

Along the Gdynia Film School’s productions the competition features films from Argentina, Germany, Italy, France, Mexico, Spain, and Turkey among others.

  • “Nothing Serious” by Kamil Czudej and “Such a Perfect Day” by Piotr Pluta will be presented in various competitive sections of the forthcoming 18th Amarcort Film Festival in Rimini, Federico Fellini’s birthplace. The festival held between November 25th – 30th, will show “Nothing Serious” in the Student Films category, while “Such a Perfect Day” – in the Titta category dedicated to films on parent-child relationship.
