”Señorita” in Competition of the Seattle Sisters Cities Short Film Festival

”Señorita” – a short etude by Sebastian Szewczykowski – was presented in competition of the Seattle Sisters Cities Short Film Festival to take place on May 4th. Founded in 1956 by the US President Dwight D. Eisnehower the Sisters Cities International network includes, among others, Nantes in France, Gdynia in Poland, Christchurch in New Zealand, Bergen in Norway, Mombasa in Kenya, Be’er Sheva in Izrael, Sihanoukville in Cambodia, Tashkent in Uzbekistan, and Kaohsiung in Taiwan.

”Señorita” in a seemingly simple story of a sailing captain’s passionate love smoothly weaves an imagined and actual reality, past and present, facts and illusions, the outside world and the internal world of emotions, desires, and ambitions.

  • “Attraction” Awarded for the Best Cinematography at the Two Riversides Film and Art Festival in Poland

  • Aleksandra Szczepaniak’s “Attraction” got Agatka Modrzejewska’s Award for the Best Cinematography in the International Short Film Competition of the Two Riversides Film and Art Festival, which took place in Kazimierz and Janowiec, Poland, between July 26th – August 3rd. The cinematographer – Ms Zuzanna Kernbach – was awarded by the Jury for “creating visual language equivalent to paradoxes of love: precise and wavering, airy and stuffy, sentimental and penetrating.”
