“love_proxy”, “In Heaven and on Earth”, and “Transgression” Nominated in Competition of the Cambridge Short Film Festival

Marcin Niemkiewicz’s “love_proxy”, Yulia Yukhymets’ “In Heaven and on Earth”, and Diana Szczotka’s “Transgression” got nominated in various competitive categories of the forthcoming Cambridge Short Film Festival 2025. The Prize winners will be announced during special event organized in the Cambridge Junction on July 13th.

“love_proxy” by Marcin Niemkiewicz has been nominated in the Sci-Fi Film category. Awarded earlier in the Blaue Blume TV Competition 2025, and presented in Miami, Brussels, Lyon, and recently in Oslo, the short fiction diploma film with use of animation and live-action features a love story in a world, in which a man, thanks to the brand-new invention of a robot doppelganger, can function in many different places at the same time.

Nominated for the Best Student Film Prize, awarded earlier at the Lisbon Cine Nova FF, the Bratislava International Film Awards, and ZubrOFFka Short FF in Poland, presented at film festivals in Germany, India, Iran, France, and Spain, ”In Heaven and on Earth” by Yulia Yukhymets is an experimental short featuring 11-year-old Tosia and her 6-year-old brother Kajtek trying to cope with the family’s tragedy.

”Transgression” by Diana Szczotka, nominated for the Best LGBTQ Film Prize, awarded earlier at the Porto Femme FF, and Seoul ISFF, and shown at numerous festivals in Poland, as well as in Finland, Canada and Spain, is a dance club love story, which unexpectedly brings in a confrontation of one’s deepest convictions with overwhelming desires.

  • “Olga” in the Youth Perspective Competition of the Spektrum Film Festival

  • Lulu Pomorova’s “Olga” will take part in the Youth Perspective Competition of documentary films at the forthcoming Spektrum FF to take place in Polish Świdnica and Czechia Trutnov between October 21st – 26th. Spektrum FF will present 49 internationally made films by young directors in three competitive sections for fiction, documentary, and animation.

  • “love_proxy”, “Such a Perfect Day”, and “Haven” in Mumbai

  • Marcin Niemkiewicz’s “love_proxy”, Piotr Pluta’s “Such a Perfect Day”, and Diana Szczotka’s “Haven” will be a part of the short film program of the Waterfront Indie Film Festival, held in the center of Bollywood between October 2nd-6th. Organized by the renown Acting School of the Rangshila Theater Group and the Indian film critics, the festival will present the international independent feature, short, documentary, and experimental films.
