GFS Examination Board annouced the names of candidates admitted to the entrance exams for the 2010/2011.

After the first stage

The Board anlysed as many as 87 portfolios with documents and artistic works. Each person applying to the first year at Gdynia Film School, apart from fulfilling a number of formalities, were obliged to present their artistic achievements:

  • A short feature film or a documentarythe
  • A script or an idea for a short feature film
  • A script or an idea for a short documentary film
  • Photographic works on a given subject
  • Optional: any other works – film, literary, photographic or artistic

Among all candidates who submitted documents and works by the due date (20 May) there were people from all around Poland and also those living abroad – to Romania and USA.

Now, 35 candidates selected are to take a part in the entrance exams: a written exam – writing a short film story, practical exams – narrative task and working with an actor. The final stage of the exams will be an interview.

The process of admission to GFS is carried out by Examination Board comprising of: Mirosław Bork, Sławomir Fabicki, Robert Gliński, Andrzej J. Jaroszewicz (PSC), Grzegorz Łoszewski, Paweł Łoziński, Sławomir Pultyn, Jurek Rados and Andrzej Titkow.

  • “love_proxy” in the Program of the Splat FF in Warsaw

  • Marcin Niemkiewicz’s “love_proxy” will be presented in a framework of the forthcoming International Fantastic Film Festival Splat FF in Warsaw, between October 24th – 31st. This year’s 11th edition of the festival will feature the brand new international horror, sci-fi, and fantasy productions just premiered in Venice, Toronto, and Cannes.

  • “Olga” in the Youth Perspective Competition of the Spektrum Film Festival

  • Lulu Pomorova’s “Olga” will take part in the Youth Perspective Competition of documentary films at the forthcoming Spektrum FF to take place in Polish Świdnica and Czechia Trutnov between October 21st – 26th. Spektrum FF will present 49 internationally made films by young directors in three competitive sections for fiction, documentary, and animation.
