”Aphasia” Shortlisted in the 20th Golden Kapok Award Competition of the Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival in China!

Jakub Laskowski’s documentary debut “Aphasia” has been shortlisted for the Golden Kapok Award of the forthcoming Guangzhou IDFF. The festival will be held at the Guangzhou Shangri-La Hotel between December 4th – 7th.

”Aphasia” is a diploma film of this year’s graduate of the Gdynia Film School, and it features an intimate portrait of Mr. Zdzisław, who talks about his life and how it changed under the influence of the aphasia. 

 

The Guangzhou IDFF’s presentation will be the film’s world premiere.

Organized in the region of Southern Europe (Novi Sad in Serbia, Rijeka in Croatia, and Kotor in Montenegro) in October and November, the festival features fiction and documentary films presenting themes of disability.
