Diploma film by Bartek Izdebski ”Jaffa Cakes” has been nominated for the Geneve Awards in the Best Student Film category. The laureates will be announced on March 18th.

Bartek Izdebski’s ”Jaffa Cakes” Nominated for the Geneve Awards in Switzerland

”Jaffa Cakes” is a short fiction film, focusing on few last moments spent together by three childhood friends, just before embarking on a long-time journey. Remembrances of a fairy-like, idyllic past mingle with expectations and dreams of a new, different world out there – what will prevail?

The film’s Polish premiere took place at the 16th Two Riverside Festival in Kazimierz.

  • Mikołaj Janik’s “The Mandala” has been awarded with the Best Horror Prize of the Roma Short Film Fest in Rome, which ended on December 7th. The festival presented “The Mandala” among the several international competition films, produced among others in Canada, China, Ireland, Italy, South Korea, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and the US.
