Dorota Kolak among GFS lecturers

Film and theatrical actress, graduate of acting studies at Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Teatralna in Kraków will conduct classes at Gdynia Film School.

Dorota Kolak debuted at the fourth year of studies with the role of Adele in the play ‘House of Bernarda’ by Alba Federico Garcia Lorcy [dir. Bogdan Tosza] in Teatr im. Adama Mickiewicza in Częstochowa. In the years 1980 – 1982 worked in Teatr im. Wojciecha Bogusławskiego in Kalisz. Since 1982 is linked to Teatr Wybrzeże in Gdańsk and played there over seventy major roles. Also can be seen in Television Theatre, films and series.

She is a teacher at the Vocal – Acting Faculty at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk. In Gdynia Film School Dorota Kolak will conduct the subject: work with an actor.

  • “The Mandala” and “Mom Is Coming Back” at the Washington Polish Film Festival

  • Mikołaj Janik’s “The Mandala” and “Mom Is Coming Back” will be presented in the short films competition of the Washington Polish Film Festival. Organized by the Kosciuszko Foundation festival will be held between May 10th – 12th and will screen the selection of the brand new Polish films, including seven features and eight shorts.

  • Presented in the Student Films Competition, Diana Szczotka ‘s ”Transgression” got Special Mention at the Porto Femme Film Festival that took place between April 16th-21st. The festival featured numerous films directed by women from around the world in nine thematic sections.
