”Jaffa Cakes” and “Resurrection” in Semi-Final of the New York Indie Shorts Awards

Nominated earlier to the Geneva Awards, ”Jaffa Cakes” features few last moments spent together by three childhood friends, just before embarking on a long-time journey. Remembrances of a fairy-like, idyllic past mingle with expectations and dreams of a new, different world out there – what will prevail?

Awarded recently with the top prizes at the Female Voices Rock FF in NY, ”Resurrection” by Luiza Budejko sketches a portrait of a family dealing with the death of small Marcel. 10-year-old Magda, Marcel’s sister, feels a need to help their parents overcome the tragedy and to do something that will let them all return to their life as it was before.
