“love_proxy”, “Attraction”, and “Such a Perfect Day” in Short Film Competition of the 25th Sopot International Film Festival

Marcin Niemkiewicz’s “Nothing Serious”, Aleksandra Szczepaniak’s “Attraction”, and Piotr Pluta’s “Such a Perfect Day” will be presented in the Short Film Competition of the forthcoming jubilee 25th Sopot Film Festival to take place between June 30th – July 8th. “love_proxy”, “Attraction”, and “Such a Perfect Day” will be featured among 44 short fiction and animation international productions.

Awarded earlier in the Blaue Blume TV Competition 2025, and presented in Miami, Brussels, Lyon, and Oslo – “love_proxy” by Marcin Niemkiewicz – with use of animation and live-action follows a love story in a world, in which a man, thanks to the brand-new invention of a robot doppelganger, can function in many different places at the same time.

Recipient of the Honorable Distinctions in the New York Cinematography Awards Competition and at the 49th Polish Film Festival in Gdynia, the “Attraction” by Aleksandra Szczepaniak focuses on a few, sunny vacation days of the adolescent siblings.

Shown at the prestigious festivals in Gdynia, Łódź, and Łagów, “Such a Perfect Day” by Piotr Pluta shows far reaching psychological and social consequences of a hazard addiction.
