“Mom Is Coming Back” and ”We Need to Focus” in Competition of the 21st European Film Festival “Integration, You and Me” in Koszalin, Poland

Mikołaj Janik’s “Mom Is Coming Back” and Marcin Zydek’s “We Need to Focus” will be shown in competition of the forthcoming “Integration, You and Me” European Film Festival to take place in Koszalin between September 3rd-7th. The festival will present 31 European fiction and documentary films in the main competition along with numerous other short and feature films in the amateur films competition and additional programs of accompanying events and discussions.

“Mom Is Coming Back” and ”We Need to Focus” in Competition of the 21st European Film Festival “Integration, You and Me” in Koszalin, Poland

Presented earlier, among others, in Thessaloniki and Washington, “Mom Is Coming Back” – a documentary short – tries to answer questions like whether it is possible to journey in place, and if one can replace the Himalayan amplitude with the Beskidian hills. Ever since Weronika was born – suffering from cerebral palsy, her mother Weronika struggles with these questions attempting to continue her previous passions in a new life with her daughter.

Awarded with the India’s Film Critics Circle Award in 2023, “We Need to Focus” by Marcin Zydek is a documentary etude following preparations to a special concert at the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdansk.

Organized by the renown Acting School of the Rangshila Theater Group and the Indian film critics, the festival will present the international independent feature, short, documentary, and experimental films.

  • “love_proxy”, “Attraction”, and “Haven” in the NY New Filmmakers Plus September Program!

  • Marcin Niemkiewicz’s “love_proxy”, Aleksandra Szczepaniak’s “Attraction”, and Diana Szczotka’s “Haven” are among the films presented in the September edition of the NY New Filmmakers Plus Program, to take place between September 1st -30th. The program, organized by the Anthology Film Archives in New York features the films by young filmmakers from China, Iran, Korea, Poland, UK, and USA.
