“Penguin Habits” Receives Jan Machulski Award Nominations at the Freedom Film Festival in Radom
Jakub Poterała’s Penguin Habits has received two nominations for the Jan Machulski Awards at this year’s Freedom Film Festival in Radom. Aleksandra Kamińska was nominated for Best Cinematography, while Jaśmina Polak received a nomination for Best Actress in the Polish Short Film Competition. The festival takes place from 8–11 July in Radom.
Penguin Habits follows the day when the mother of young Antek leaves for a research station abroad, forcing him to stay behind in Poland under the care of his grandfather. The film explores the tension between parental love and responsibility on one hand, and professional ambition and career opportunities on the other.
