“Resurrection” in the Student Films Competition of the 44th Manaki Brothers FF in Macedonia

“Resurrection” by Luiza Budejko will be a part of the Student Films competition of the 44th edition of the International Cinematographers’ Film Festival Manki Brothers in Bitola, Macedonia. The event takes place between September 23rd – 29th, and in the main competition presents the recent films from Aki Kaurismaki, Wim Wenders, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, or Wes Anderson among others. This year’s winner of the festival’s Special Golden Camera Prize for Outstanding Contribution to World of Cinematic Art is Seamus McGarvey – cinematographer of “Nocturnal Animals” by Tom Ford, “World Trade Center” by Oliver Stone, and “The Hours” by Stephen Daldry, among others.

Widely presented and awarded around the world, ”Resurrection” by Luiza Budejko features a portrait of a family dealing with the death of small Marcel. 10-year-old Magda, Marcel’s sister, feels a need to help her parents overcome the tragedy and to do something that will let them all return to their life as it was before.

  • “Nothing Serious” in Competition of the 28th Zoom Int’l Film Festival

  • Kamil Czudej’s “Nothing Serious” will be a part of the Competition program of the forthcoming 28th Zoom International Film Festival to take place in Jelenia Góra in Poland between March 3rd-9th. The film, which earlier got the Jury Mention and the Interia Prize “Discovery of the Festival” at the 49th Gdynia FF, and – recently – the Special Jury Mention for the Main Role for Mateusz Więcławek in the Blaue Blume TV Competition 2025, will be one of the 47 international short film productions shown at this year’s edition of the festival in Jelenia Góra.

  • Aleksandra Szczepaniak’s “Attraction” got Honorable Mention in the Student Film category of the New York Cinematography Awards competition that presented over 100 feature and short films from around the world, among others from Australia, Canada, China, Columbia, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Portugal, RPA, Switzerland, South Korea, Tunisia, Turkey, UK, USA, etc.
