“Saudade”, “The Mandala”, ”In Heaven and on Earth” and “Everything for My Friend” in Competition of the InterCity Film Festival in Busan

Wojciech Pokorski’s “Saudade”, Mikołaj Janik’s “The Mandala”, Yulia Yukhymets‘ ”In Heaven and on Earth” and Lulu Pomorova’s “Everything for My Friend” will be presented in competition of the InterCity Film Festival in Busan. The festival, organized by the Busan Independent Film Association will be held between August 30th – September 2nd.

“Saudade” by Wojciech Pokorski in a sensitive and detailed way captures psychology of a child in confrontation with grave illness of the mother.

Awarded for the best cinematography in Koszalin and with the Audience Prize in Sopot, and shown earlier within the NY New Filmmakers, Friss Huss ISFF in Budapest, and the Ravenheart FF in Oslo, “The Mandala” in a thriller convention tells a story of a mother and son struggling with a loss.

Awarded with the Best Film Prize at the Cine Nova FF in Lisbon and with the Best B&W Film in the Bratislava International Film Awards competition, and earlier shown in India, France and Spain,  ”In Heaven and on Earth” is an experimental short featuring 11-year-old Tosia and her 6-year-old brother Kajtek trying to cope with the family’s tragedy.

Presented earlier in Portugal, Finland, Mexico, Spain, India, the US and Columbia, and awarded in Bratislava with the Best Student Film Prize, ”Everything for My Friend” follows a friendship of two women at a crucial point of transition between artistic school and professional life. The two friends face a choice whether to support or compete against each other.

  • “Nothing Serious” in Competition of the 28th Zoom Int’l Film Festival

  • Kamil Czudej’s “Nothing Serious” will be a part of the Competition program of the forthcoming 28th Zoom International Film Festival to take place in Jelenia Góra in Poland between March 3rd-9th. The film, which earlier got the Jury Mention and the Interia Prize “Discovery of the Festival” at the 49th Gdynia FF, and – recently – the Special Jury Mention for the Main Role for Mateusz Więcławek in the Blaue Blume TV Competition 2025, will be one of the 47 international short film productions shown at this year’s edition of the festival in Jelenia Góra.

  • “Attraction” Gets Honorable Mention in the New York Cinematography Awards Competition

  • Aleksandra Szczepaniak’s “Attraction” got Honorable Mention in the Student Film category of the New York Cinematography Awards competition that presented over 100 feature and short films from around the world, among others from Australia, Canada, China, Columbia, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Portugal, RPA, Switzerland, South Korea, Tunisia, Turkey, UK, USA, etc.
