Wojciech Staroń, the cinematographer of ‘El Premio’ directed by Argentinian Paula Markovitch, has won a statue for outstanding artistic input at International Film Festival in Berlin.
“Nothing Serious” by Kamil Czudej received Special Jury Mention in the student films category of the 18th Amarcort Film Festival in Rimini, Federico Fellini’s birthplace. The festival held between November 25th – 30th presented ca. 150 short films from around the world.
Lulu Pomorova’s “Olga” will be presented in the Documentary Films Competition, while Robert Zawadzki’s “Fear” – as a part of Special Presentations of the forthcoming 19th Zubroffka International Short Film Festival to take place in Białystok, Poland. Held between December 3rd – 7th, the festival will feature short films from around the world in 10 various competitive sections.
Mikołaj Janik’s “Mom Is Going Back” got two awards at the 23rd Uhvati Film Festival: Grand Prix at the Novi Sad edition, and Second Prize for Documentary Film in Rijeka, Croatia. Organized in the region of Southern Europe (Novi Sad in Serbia, Rijeka in Croatia, and Kotor in Montenegro) in October and November, the festival features fiction and documentary films presenting themes of disability.
